The kids and I had a lot of fun making candies. This year we added a few improvements to some of our favorite candies. We added peppermint candy canes to our peppermint patty and added reese pieces to our peanut butter cups. We made the best twix's bars ever. The kids really helped make the candy as we had Roderic and Mariella all week.

Nobody celebrates New Years Eve like Germany. As soon as it hits 12:00 there are bells and fireworks everywhere you look. We had so many fireworks it took about an hour to set them all off.
The kids really enjoyed holding roman candles, the huge fireworks, and even being able to start a couple little fireworks.
