Critz Farms Happy Fall ya'll

Today's Adventure is all about Fall.  I have a Love/Hate relationship with Fall.  I love all  the activities of fall.  I love all the colors, I love the weather.  However, it's the next step to SNOW!  UGGHHH    So today I will enjoy the smells of cider, doughnuts, Pumpkin spice fudge, popcorn, maple cotton candy and other treats. I will enjoy the crisp air, and the beautiful colors of the leaves turning from green, yellow, orange and red and not think about the SNOW!

Monday Oct 14th we went on another adventure 1 hour and 45 min from our home.  We went to Critz Farms where we got to enjoy all the fall activities,  from listening to a live band, riding the tractor to pick our own apples, we ended up walking back to the barn because we had just missed the tractor.  It was on of my favorite parts of the day  because we were not rushed and just got to enjoy the beauty that surrounded us.  We got to ride a different tractor to the pumpkin farm to pick our own pumpkins.  this was also a highlight as we have never picked our own farm fresh pumpkins, we usually pick them from a grocery store bin.  After we weighed and paid for our goodies, we went across the street to the corn maze.   Elder Bastian was on the phone with us and got to help us solve the maze.  Only Elder Bastian made us go in a circle.  It was the best being able to talk to him and enjoy some of the Harvest with our Missionary.  As a team we solved the corn maze, we found all 7 stations and even got to ring the bell.  We got to sample some delicious fudge, drink some of the best tasting apple cider, My favorite treat was the Hot apple fritters.  YUMMM.  They had a petting farm, bails of hay, a huge park.  This place had a little bit of everything for everyone.  They even had the cutest Cow train that reminded me of the one my little kids used to ride in Wenatchee at Smallwoods Farms.  Happy Fall Y'all

Our sweet Kaiser.

This was the best $1.00 I've ever spent.  Kaiser loved this little pumpkin.
He chased it, chewed it and just held it in his mouth.  It was so funny.

Adirondacks Are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-

Upstate New York takes your breath away with all its beautiful fall colors.
We loaded the kids up and set off to explore the Adirondack. We took a scenic drive through Cranberry lake, Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and ended up in Keene valley nicknamed "home of the high peaks". This is the part of the Adirondack that has the highest and most peaks of the forest. And man were the views here amazing! Next year I think we should ride the gondola up to the top peak.
On our drive We got to see a portion of the 6 million acres of forest preserve that makes up the Adirondacks.
I think my favorite part was just driving and we would pull over at random spots and go for a hike.
One stop we found this cute little picnic area and down the lane was a river we went down to the river Jeremy and Chandler took off hopping rocks and moving further out in the river and Kaiser who doesn't like water decided he was going to go as well only he wasn't hopping rocks like the boys he was walking in the water. Ha! Oh Kaiser! So here is our cute little Dog wet all the way to his tummy. ðŸ˜‚
Jeremy stopped at one spot and we could hear water so we went off roading down this huge hill with Kaiser in hand trying to see if we could find the source of water? Oh the things we do. ðŸ¤·‍♀️ I'm sure it was quite comical watching our clan hike down this hill with Kaiser in hand and making sure I didn't fall.
We were successful we did indeed find the source of water. It was a fun little creek with a cute little waterfall. The boys loved climbing all over the Rocks and I loved sitting on the rocks just listening to the water. I did have a miss step and I ended up with a wet shoe as a rock shifted and in went my foot. Ha! I think Brooklyn got wet as she was jumping one rock to another. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The weather was perfect, the lakes were gorgeous. We loved walking in the forest and just enjoying all the colors and beauty that surrounded us.**** Note (these Pictures do NOT show how beautiful it was. sad ðŸ˜ž)
