Thanksgiving 08
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your Family and Friends.
We had one of the best Thanksgivings. We had four families over for dinner, than we went to The Hardman's for pie. We had a wonderful time hanging with our friends(aka Army Family). We had so much food it was crazy. We all did appetizers and snacked on them until we ate Thanksgiving Dinner @ 3pm. The kids had so much fun making their turkey hats. Poor Kayden was soooo sick he was throwing up all night and all day poor guy. I took a couple pictures of him sleeping and being miserable. He humored me and let Dad make a turkey hat for him, he was even a good sport and took a picture with his turkey hat. (Thanks for being a good sport Kayden) This is one of the down sides of having a fun mom right??? LOL
The theme this year was leaves. I made leaf garland Jeremy traced 160 leafs and I cut them all out and attached them to yarn. They turned out so cute. My mom sent me a cute Turkey for the center piece and I made brown paper bags and folded them and put raffia on the top and a cute leaf then I filled them with chocolates. I got cute turkey center pieces for the kids's table. We had a beautiful dinner, so much food and we all sat down and enjoyed the beautiful meal. We were able to visit and enjoy each others company. We packed up and went to the Hardmans for pie. We had so many pies and met up with 5 more families. It was awesome. We got home at about 8:20pm we cleaned up and went to bed.
I got up at 2:30am to go shopping with Erik,Stephanie, and Brandi. We hit all the hot stores and got some really cool deals. I love Black Friday. The hottest item were the Leapsters for $30.00. Yeah, I got a bruise and a couple head bops. Wal-mart only had 12 pink and 9 green, well I needed 3 pink and 2 green. I was in line with about 5 people who wanted them. So I thought I would dive down and get the leapsters on the bottom. Well one lady jumped the gun a little early like 4:59am well everyone dove in the Wal-mart people were telling us it's to early put them back. But then they let us go. It was crazy!!! But I got all my Leapsters. What people will do to get their presents. Giggles!!!! I love it I know some of you are like that is exactly why we do not go out. But I love it, I love the people, I love the deals, I love hanging with my friends. We hooked up with Ashely, Sylwia, and Denise for lunch at Shangri-La (it's a Chinese buffet) and then we went to see "Four Christmas" So much fun.
We love and miss you all. Happy Thanksgiving

USS New York
My Aunt Rocky sent me this e-mail of the USS New York. I was so touched by the story I wanted to add it to my blog. I love this Country so much,I am so blessed to be able to support my Solider. I think it's amazing we can build a ship from the scrap metal from the attack on America at the World Trade Center. We can now continue to fight for our freedom, and at the same time honor the fallen people of Sept 11, 2001May we Never Forget!!

USS New York
It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel
from the World Trade Center .
It is the fifth in a new class of warship -
designed for missions that include
special operations against terrorists.
It will carry a crew of 360 sailors
and 700 combat-ready Marines to
be delivered ashore by
helicopters and assault craft.
Steel from the World Trade Center was melted
down in a foundry in Amite , LA to
cast the ship's bow section. When
it was poured into the molds on
Sept 9, 2003, 'those big rough
steelworkers treated it with
total reverence,' recalled
Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing,
who was there. 'It was a spiritual
moment for everybody there.'
Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager,
said that when the trade center steel
first arrived, he touched it with his
hand and the 'hair on my neck
stood up.' 'It had a big meaning
to it for all of us,' he said.
'They knocked us down.
They can't keep us down.
We're going to be back.'
The ship's motto? 'Never Forget'

Kayla, Slywia, Ashley, Shari,Jessica Keri, and two friends from the Augusta ward.
We had so much fun at the Midnight showing of Twilight. I picked up 7 other ladies, we met 8 more at the theater. All 12 of us got a tickets three weeks ago. We were set for this night. We left at 10pm got to the theater at 10:20pm got our tickets. Twilight was playing in four theaters. Three of the four theaters were sold out.(people were waiting to watch Twilight since 4:30, I thought we were doing good coming almost two hours early.) We got tickets to theater #1, well when we walked into the theater is was full. I'm not sure we could have found 8 seats together. So I found out where the other theaters were, I found out they had one in theater 6 they hadn't even started seating yet. I collected everyone ticket and headed to costumer service. We wanted/needed a new theater. So Ashley and I got all the tickets changed to theater six, while the rest of the group waited in line. They had security aka Police trying to keep all these crazy fans quiet. It was so funny. I was surprised how many young teenage kids were coming to a midnight showing. Remeber everyone had to get up and go to school. We got into the theater and got the best seats in the house.
I give the movie a 7/10. There were things I didn't like. I'm not going into detail just in case you haven't seen the movie yet. When you have and want to talk let me know. I loved the Base Ball, and the fight, So cool!!! I also loved the running.
But what really cracked me up was all the teenage girls oohh and awee over the characters or when Edward and Bella were going to kiss. Too funny!!! Classic!!!! Seriously we laughed more at these teenagers. WE had a wonderful night. We got home about 3am. I am now living on four hours of sleep. Good times.
Thanks for the girls night out ladies...

Zoey has Confirmed Our Suspicians
Yes, it is true. You no longer have to worry. Zoey found them and we have video proof. Aliens in the form of hair brushes have come. Zoey trapped one and scared it into submission. We believe they have fled back to their planet (drawer) after Zoey attacked. If you believe you have the same aliens, please do not send them here. Please do not be alarmed by the sights and sounds you are about to experience. This is live footage of the discovery.
For some reason Zoey found Brooklyn's brush and decided it was the enemy. She did this for about 30 minutes before we had to stop her. She was just going crazy. It was fun to see her attack that brush. We hope you enjoy our Zoey's antics as much as we do. After this, we all feel safer having Zoey around. (So glad we got a beagle to protect us!)

Scrapbook
It only took me 10 years to get my own scrapbooking area!! yeah hooo
What's new with the Bastianclan. We are all doing wonderful. I am finally at my treatment level for my blood clot. No more shots in my tummy twice a day. Yeah!!! Jeremy's back is feeling much better. He is able to walk now. yeah for pain meds, muscle relaxer and arthritis medicine. He has an MRI on the 21 Nov. The doctors think he has a crushed disk. Yikes. We will see what we need to do on the 21st. I am looking forward to watching Twilight this Thursday night. Yeah hooo!! I am going with a bunch of friends we have about 12 ladies. It's going to be one fun and much needed girls night out. We are going to the 12:01am showing. I can't wait.
Well back to my post on Scrapbooking. I have wanted to post pictures of all my layouts. I wasn't sure how to do it. I have talked to a couple of my scrapbooking friends and one told me to take pictures of my scrapbooking layouts. so I spent an afternoon taking pictures of the last 20 layouts. I am so excited. I have 15 albums now, it's going to take a while to take pictures of all those layouts. Don't worry I will not post all 15 albums, just my most recent. That way you can see all my family history. That's what I tell my hubby, I am doing family history. For those of you who know scrapbooking can be a little expensive. but hey whatever I have to do to keep up with my family history right. Wink Wink!!!! I tried to do a slide show on the right hand side of my computer but for some reason it wouldn't load my slide. HUMM another thing I have to figure out. Anyone know how I make the pictures upload? I made my folder and made it public so I am not sure???
So I had to do the old fashion slide show above my post. At least you get to see my cute layouts. I know you can't see all the detail or even a close up of the pictures. (Don't worry if you look back at my older posts you will see the pictures) I only scrapbook the best pics, the rest go on a CD. But I think you will be able to fill in the blanks. I love to scrapbook,it's so therapeutic to me. I love it when people look at my books and think they are amazing and wonderful, then the big question comes. Hey do you think you could help me? Do you think if I give you all the pictures you can make an album for me? I love that I have a little talent and I can share that talent. I hope you enjoy looking at my talent as much as I enjoy doing it. Please let me know what you like to do. Maybe I will ask you the big question. Could you please..... (fill in the blank)

The Most Wonderful Woman
I have been thinking of doing this for a little while. The push over the edge came as I read the Priesthood lesson for today. I am going to try and take my example from the Prophet Joseph and do something I hope will come as a little unexpected.
I do not show or publicly express my gratitude and love for my beautiful wife. Tina is the best thing that has happened to me. Her sense of humor can be very contagious. Her smile brightens any room she enters and comforts child and adult hearts with ease. Her patience for children, especially ours, and for me is amazing. On the other hand though, she can be the biggest mother bear you will ever find so watch out. Her heart is always full of love, understanding and forgiveness.
She does so many wonderful things for so many people it is hard to believe she has time and energy for her family but there is always more than enough. She will gladly drop anything if some one is in need. I cannot say how many times I have seen her jump up after a phone call and say she needs to do something because some one needs something. That something could be as small as a shoulder to lean on or as big as taking some kids in for the weekend so the mom can meet dad somewhere for a weekend. If you know Tina, you have seen this side of her. It always amazes though that she never quits helping others.
What amazes me most is the way she treats her family. We have never been left wanting. She always has time and energy for us. She even has time and energy for me after a long day or two with the kids because I have been on duty. She has given me her heart and for that I am most thankful. I wish I could write everything that I feel but I wouldn't be able to do it justice. I love her and I am so grateful i get to spend eternity with her.
I love you, Tina.

Brooklyn Voted
Okay so I have to share with you the election from my daughter's point of view.
I took Brooklyn to the post office to send Jeremy and my ballots to Utah for the Nov 2008 Election. We have been talking about the election, and who we think should be the next president. Today Brooklyn shared who she thinks should be President.
Brooklyn: "Mom I'm going to vote for Obama"
Mom: "Really? why did you choose Obama?"
Brooklyn: "Because he is so cute, and handsome"
Mom: "Really?" (I guess it's important to be handsome and cute.)
Brooklyn: "Mom Obama is so handsome and tall, he would make a great President"
Mom: "What about McCain?"
Brooklyn: "McCain is too old"
Mom: "Too old?"
Brooklyn: "yeah he looks like a Grandpa."(So is that a bad thing??)
At this point I am trying not to laugh. Since when did my daughter start thinking boys were cute? Handsome? and Tall? where did that come from? Okay Brooklyn is 6. You got it Six.
I love my daughters thoughts. I have said this before and I'm going to say it again. The world needs to watch out "Princess Brooklyn Nicole Bastian" is going to change the world. She is amazing and everyday she surprises me with how much she knows and is learning. Brooklyn is so amazing!!! she is so smart and very determined. She is going to change the world someday.
Well Obama there you have it. You will be President because you are Handsome, Cute and Tall. Sorry McCain you are too old and look like a Grandpa. (that's not a bad thing dad(s). LOL)
I love it. I hope everyone gets out and votes tomorrow if you haven't voted already.
May the "Best Man Win" (or in Brooklyn's opinion the cutest)
