25 Random things

I was tagged on face book by my cousin and some friends so I thought I would post it here as well.
Here are 25 Random things about me.

1. I have been engaged three times. But luckily for me the fourth was the charm. I love my Eternal Companion Jeremy
2. I have always wanted to be a Social Worker. Someday I will finish my education and achieve that dream.
3.I was a Certified Nurse Assistant in High School
4.I am a Doula and have attended 20 births. I love the miricle of Labor and the birth of a new infant. Hopefully I can do this more as soon as my kids are all in school.
5.I have received several awards for serving in the Army Readiness group. (Family Support) Jer and I are in competition to see who gets more awards and who's is better. So far I am in the lead. I have 50 K diamond award. Super cool!!! beat that Jeremy.
6. I want to teach a marriage class to military families about deployments and re deployments.
7.I really wanted two more children. My poor body gave out. (Just like Jamie I wanted like 8 kids when I was younger and I ended up with only three.) Love my 3 kiddos.
8.I would love to get into decorating my house. I need to read up on some styles. Right now I have a little bit of everything. Giggles. Yeah I really need help in this dept.
9.My house has to be clean. I have to have a shinny floor. No dishes in the sink for me. I hate laundry. I hate that you are never done... No matter if all your baskets are clean the clothes you are wearing are dirty. GRRRR to that house hold chore.
10.I love to go above and beyond in everything I do. I'm a "Total over Achiever".
11.I can't spell. My best friend is spell check.
12.I love to plan everything down to the t. At times being in the Army this is a challenge. But I give it my best shot.
13.I do not keep anything. Being in the Army we move all the time. I am the biggest purger ever.
14. I have a picture fetish. I love to take pictures, look at pictures, scrapbook pictures, frame pictures. You name it I love it. I just started my 15th Album. crazy hu? I also love to blog. I use both my scrapbook and my blogs as my journal. I am only 6 months behind on my scrapbooks. yeah go me.
15.I love to watch the world through my kids eyes. It's fun to see them grow and learn. I love to play and hang out with them. some of my best days are playing and hanging with my kids. Lots and lots of memories.
16.Jeremy and I have a date once a week. We don't always get out but we do something special just the two of us every week.
17.I love love love movies. Any kind of movie. Well not so much the Sci Fi and no R rated.
18. I can't wait to own my own house. Not just to have a house of my own but to plant my roots and not have to move every 16mon-3 years. Someday our first home will be our dream home. It's going to be another 15 years before we have a home. Well unless Jer gets his way. He wants to buy one now. I just don't want the stress of having to sell it or rent it because the army sent us to another state.
19.I love playing Guitar Hero. I know crazy hu? I could play that game everyday. it's so wonderful. it really helps relieve stress, something about jamming to cool music I guess
20 I love my dogs. My favorite breed is Maltese. I love those little cute white dogs.
21.I can not sleep in a car. I hate traveling in the car for hours and hours on end. When I was little my parents would drive all night and I hated it. So now the longest we travel in one day is about 8 maybe 9 hours. (that is pushing it.)
22.I talk to strangers all the time. i will be standing in line and strike up a conversation. I think I could make a friend anywhere.
23.I love seals. As a child we went to pier 39 in San Francisco and I could/would sit and watch the seals for hours. I love to watch them. I have about 10 different seal memorabilia.
24.My family takes a vacation every year. I think it's super important to be together as a family and have a strong foundation as a family, so every year we do something super fun. When we lived in Georgia the first time we went to Orlando fl. Hawaii we spent time exploring the island. (We also made a few trips home to Utah) When we lived in Maryland we went to Hershey's park and Gettysburg. (We also went home to Utah for Christmas) our second time in Georgia we went back to Orlando and took our kids to Walt Disney World for a week. Super fun. This year I am not sure what we are doing. Maybe going back to Disney. We are moving so who knows.
25.this one is going to be a shocker for you all. I love to talk. I can talk on my home phone, my cell phone and the computer all at the same time. I love to multi task.

Big News!!!!

Being in the Army, always brings on change and big surprise. We are not exempt from these wonderful blessings. Jeremy received an e-mail telling him he was DA Selected to become an Army Recruiter. (Jeremy is not excited, he would rather chew off his right arm than become a recruiter.) We have no way of getting out of this assignment. He can't even be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. He attends recruiter school June 15-July 31st. We will know where we are going the week of July 5th. We get to submit 9 different places we would like to go. We are looking at Florida, Texas, Utah, North Carolina, and Arizona. Tina and the kids are going to Utah for the 6 week school.

Because we are leaving for 6 weeks and will most likely have to rent a house in our new area, we have chosen to find new homes for our beautiful wonderful poo dogs. This was a really hard decision. We love our dogs so much... We have cried for many days. (yes all of us) We just do not have the money to fly them home for 6 weeks, or kennel,or pay Friends to keep them for 6 weeks. We also will not be living on a Military base or the chance is slim, so we have to find a rental. It's hard enough trying to find a rental for our family then have to accommodate our beautiful dogs. WE have very little time to find a place to live and move. WE will be moving sometime in August. We will be staying in several hotels along the way. WE are very sad to loose two family members.

But we were very blessed in the homes we found for them, when we made the decision we were going to find new homes for our dogs it happened really fast. I am talking one day for Ceaser and two days for Zoey.

Ceaser went to a wonderful family "The Brown's". They are going to spoil Ceaser. It's just Mr & Mrs Brown their son is in college. So Ceaser gets to hang out with adults all day and be spoiled. Mrs Brown even said she would send me pictures of Ceaser. (now that's my kind of owner!) When it was time for him to leave, Ceaser jumped right into their car. I know he is going to be so happy. We love Ceaser so much. He has been a member of our family for 5 years. It's really hard to let him go... but we know this is what we need to do. We love our Ceaser!!!As for Zoey she has been in our family for 7 months. She has been such a joy to have. It's been fun to have a dog that actually wants to play all the time. Ceaser was a little stuck up in that department. Zoey was so full of life. WE finally got her potty trained and kennel trained.
Zoey is going to be in heaven she is going to live with The Perez's on the farm. They already have three beagles. Mr. Perez trains them to hunt rabbit. Zoey will be doing what her breed of dog is meant to do. Not only that but she will have lots of friends. Zoey will also become a MOM. Maybe we will get one of her puppies. That would be really cool. WE love you Zoey!!!

We feel really blessed that we were able to find such wonderful homes for our poo dogs. I am super happy it happened so fast. We will miss our poo dogs. Here is a tribute to them. I am posting some of our favorite pictures.

We will miss our Ceaser and Zoey!!!!

They call it SNOW

It snowed in Augusta yesterday. The kids were so excited. Okay all it did was flurry. The snow melted before it hit the ground. I had to take pictures of the snow. We all got bundled up with hats and gloves to play in the snow. We played outside for about 20 minutes. The snow was all gone. It was fun while it lasted.
My cute kids hanging out in the snow.
Cute Brooklyn. See no snow on the ground. HUMMM is it really snowing?

Update on Jer

Jeremy met with his surgeon yesterday for all his back problems. The MRI Showed he has one maybe two bad discs. He has to take a horrible test, called a discogram. A discogram is an invasive test done by inserting a long needle into the center of the intervertebral disc while X-rays are taken. The test is performed by injecting dye into the center of discs to determine which discs are damaged and if they are the ones causing all the pain. (AKA Jeremy not being able to move.) This test will show if a disc has begun to rupture and will show if the disc has tears in the tough outer ring called the "annulus". So just to recap the doctor puts this huge needle into the disc when it's positioned right they inject fluid to cause pressure in the disc space. If (When) that causes pain then the disc is abnormal. The test will take about 40 minutes of Pure pleasure, I mean pain. YICKS!!! Oweee!!!

So what happens after the test? The surgeon and Jeremy will decided what they need to do, If they are going to do a disc replacement, a vertebrae fusion, or a permanent profile. The bad thing about back problems is you can't fix them. Even with surgery it's an 80% chance his back will get better. and a 20 % chance his back will stay the same or get worse. If he doesn't have the surgery his back could give out any time, Bending over to pick something up, He couldn't run, jive his back in anyway. Not the best for staying in the Army for 20-30 years.

After Jeremy's discogram test, His surgery will be 4 weeks out. Holy Cow!!! I don't think we will have the fusion surgery, if Jeremy has surgery he will have the disc replacement. So what does surgery entail? He would have a 4 inch scar from his belly button down. The Surgeon would go through his stomach to fix the disc. He would be in the hospital for about 4-5 days. He would walk out of the hospital and would recover in about 3-4 months, doing a little bit of physical therapy.

We will keep you posted on the results of the test, and if he is going to do the surgery. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!

We had the best "Girls Night out" One of our friends Denise has never really had a Birthday Party. She doesn't like her Birthday, Well Sylwia, Ashley, and I couldn't let Denise go one more Birthday without feeling love. So we threw the best, most fantastic, surprise Birthday Party ever. Ashely and I decorated her house with all kinds of balloons,Streamers, and Happy Birthday signs. Ashely made this amazing Princess cake. Coconut cake with marmalade filling Yummy!!! She is so talented. It's beautiful!!! Sylwia made sure all the guest knew about the party and what to bring. We had a wonderful turn out. So many of Denise friends were there. (other sent their love, because they couldn't make it)
While Ashely and Sylwia fished up the final touches and the final guest arrived, I went to pick Denise up with a horrible story of how Ashley needed us. She was having teenage issues you see. I however, do not have any teenagers so I really couldn't help. So off we went to Ashley's house. When we got there we rang the door bell. When the door opened everyone screamed "Surprise!" Denise was so shocked she couldn't move. It was so awesome. She than gave everyone a hug and went into the house. When she saw the amazing princess cake she began to cry. She was so happy!!!! Way to go Ashley... We than made Princess candy necklaces. Every princess has a Candy necklaces. Then we sat around eating all the yummy treats everyone brought. Ashley got a new game for Christmas called, "Would you rather?" (I think that's the name) we had a blast getting to know each other a little better. Denise opened all her wonderful presents,She was so spoiled. A couple friends had to leave and get home to their families, while a couple of us stayed and sang Karaoke. There was a trip to Wal-mart but I can't talk about that. I will let you know what happened in the near future. ( I know hanging by your nails)
We finally called it a night at about 12:40am. WE all had Church at 9am. Yeah! Crazy!!

We were able to celebrate Christmas, Matt's 32nd Birthday, and New Years. The kids had a blast playing. It's nice because there kids are all about the same age as ours. The kids played all day and slept most of the night. Jeremy and Tina had a wonderful time playing games until the wee hours of the morning. We taught the Smith's our favorite game Settlers of Catan and all the add ons. We also really enjoyed playing the Wii, and Guitar Hero on the x-box. I love spending Christmas with family.
