Family Picture at General Yi's Korea 2013

The very first time we explored General Yi's shrine
I wanted to take family pictures on this bridge. I got my wish and it's beautiful!!!!
The colors in these pictures are just breathtaking.
We really will never forget our time here in Korea.
Bastianclan's Famous Dog Pile!!!! how cute is this picture????
We started this tradition a couple years ago and just love it.
Kim got some wonderful shots of the "REAL" BastianClan family for sure!!!!
What a Handsome Young Man Kayden is becoming.
He surprises me every day with his Charismatic Personality.
Kayden is a very friendly guy with a heart of Gold.
Brooklyn looks so grown up and she is indeed growing up.
She just amazes me with her dedication and her willingness to learn new things.
Her drive and compassion are inspiring.
Look at our Baby, not a baby anymore.
Wow Chandler Evan is all character He keeps us laughing and on our TOES!
Our amazing Children. Looking so cute and innocent.
Don't let this picture fool you. Need proof check out the other photos.

Fear Factor Birthday

Kayden's Party invites, they turned out super cool.  I love, love, love the bugs!!!!
The Decorations.  Yes, I did indeed hand cut out 35 bats.  They are super cool huh?
Jeremy did a great job with the streamers and balloons.  He even got super fancy and used a needle and thread on the balloons.  Very cool!!!!
The Cockroach Cake.  YUMMMM...
We had 11 Contestants.
AJ,Andrew,Josiah,Taylor,Hunter, Kayden
Chandler, Bella,Brooklyn, Kendyl, and Justin
(Check out the photo bomb!)
Kayden wanted homemade pigs in a blanket, fruit, veggies, and chips.
The contestants taking the Fear Factor Oath.
"I Promise to be a good sport. I will try my best. I will cheer on the other kids. I will try my hardest to get totally grossed out and have a lot of fun!!!"  I made little signs with the Oath and made each contestant sign it.  (This also became the tag for their party goody bags.)
Challenge #1 Guts- cooked spaghetti with oil and lots of different bugs they had 1 minute to pull our as many different bugs as they could.
Challenge #2 "Poop"- I had Chocolate pudding and Pistachio pudding mixed with 3 whoppers and the contestants couldn't use their hands and had to get as much poop out of the diaper as they could.  This was hilarious.  So much laughter and what a mess!!!  It was awesome!
Challenge #3 Regurgitated Bugs- aka Baby food.  The Contestants had to eat the baby food and try to guess what flavor it was. It was so funny how some contestants didn't have a problem eating it while other wouldn't even try it.
Challenge #4 Iron Toes, this was the kids most challenging game.  They were really frozen after this.  We filled this bucket full of water and ice.  We put about 35 marbles in the bottom they had 30 sec to fish out the marbles. The contestants feet were so frozen their toes hurt.  The boys put on comfy socks to warm their feet.  The boys even wore pink and green stripes and purple socks.
Challenge #5 Snot Sucker- This one was one of my favorites.  The contestants had to drink the jello through a straw. It really does sound like you are sucking snot from a baby and with 11 contestants we had it in stereo.
Chandler was laughing so hard Jell-o was coming out of his nose.  The sound was so funny!!!
Brooklyn, was very serious.  This is hard work.
Challenge #6 Bertie Bott"s Every Flavor Jelly bean.  The contestants had to roll a die and whatever number the die landed on  was the amount of Bertie Bott's the contestants had to eat.
Here is Kayden eating Vomit.  Bahaha  I was so shocked their were a couple kids that ate them just normal.  NO ISSUES!!  Others had to be excused to run to the bathroom.  This challenge made me laugh so hard I cried.  Some of the kids faces and sounds they made were priceless.
Brooklyn, didn't have the guts to eat all "5" she only ate one and really just little by little she didn't put the whole thing in her mouth.
Challenge #7 Dog Biscuits- we split the contestants in 2 different teams and they had to take the bone from one end of the hall to the other.  IT was awesome!!!!
Challenge # 8 Hot air.  We attached balloons to string and to the contestants ankle.  The object of the challenge was to pop other's balloons but not allow anyone to pop yours.  Fun fun!!!  Our poor neighbors thought their ceiling was going to fall through.
Challenge # 9 Booger Bubble Challenge We gave the contestants two bubble gum pieces and we had to see who could blow the biggest bubble.
Hunter won!!!
Challenge #10 Earth Worm Challenge.  We had 5 gummy worms and a plate full of whipping cream.  The contestants had to find the gummy worms show them one by one and eat them.
Taylor on the left and Kayden on the right.
Hunter on the left and Josiah on the right.

Cute Chandler with his first worm.

Cute Brooklyn.  She said the whipping cream went up her nose.

We sang Happy Birthday with our Cockroach cake.  YUMMY!

Ended the party with our traditional pass the present game.
What a super fun Birthday Party!!!!!
Thanks to everyone that came.

kayden 14th birthday

Kayden's fun table. I love love this Fear Factor theme.

I cut bite marks out of each plate and glued cockroaches to the plates.  Fun!

I cut out lots of bats for his Birthday/Party.  We have to get very creative here in Korea.

Look how cool they look at night.  See the bat shadows?  Very creepy.

Jeremy, did an awesome job on his Door.

Kayden wanted Biscuits and Gravy again!  He loves this meal.  Jeremy was so sweet to wake up at 5:00am to make this breakfast for his Birthday Boy!!!!  Aweeee, what a nice Dad!

Kayden's Birthday Dinner was  little bit weird.  First, he wanted me to make Sushi.  UMMMM yeah I have know idea how to make sushi. I did ask a couple people and no one makes it they all buy it fresh from the commissary. So I was able to buy some sushi However,  I did make his Alfredo Sauce  and garlic sticks all homemade.  They were yummy.  I was glad dinner wasn't just Sushi.  Thank you Kayden.

Present time

Kayden, desperately needed new ties.

Kayden wanted a remote control helicopter.  This was a challenge to get here in Korea.  No one wants to send things here.  But I finally found a seller that would send us this awesome Helicopter.

New Headphones for his MP3 player.  He goes through these headphones like Candy.

 Legos

More Legos

Kayden got the next book in his Hero Series.
Happy Happy Birthday Kayden.  I can't believe you are 14!!!  That is just crazy.  You are so excited to be able to attend all church activities now.  You are super excited to be ordained a teacher in the Priesthood.
You still want to be a Doctor when you grow up.  You love spending your extra time playing at the teen center with your friends. You joined Cross Country this year and really enjoyed it.  You are the Dodger in the Play Oliver.  You play the Trombone and really enjoy it.  You struggle with School but boy are we working on it... Kayden WE love you so much and we are so very blessed that you are in our family.  Happy Happy Birthday Buddy!!!!
