Brandi's Tag

You've only got 100 years to live. My friend Brandi tagged me.

The tag is to post pictures when I was 15, 22, and 33. Only I am not 33 yet so I posted the most recent picture of me. (Taken today)

Boy oh boy I went down memory lane doing this post. I pulled out several albums trying to get the correct pictures. It was so fun to see all those memories and pictures.

I need to do a post on past pictures, especially when I was a young single adult. Too funny!!!

This is the only picture I can find of me at age 15. I got it out of one of my year books. I was going to see if you could guess which one was me. But I cropped it.

Fifteen there's still time for you...

Twenty-Two I feel her too.

Thirty-Three (31) Your still on your way...

So I want to tag everyone else to post pictures of you at 15.22.33 or most recent. It's alot of fun just comment when you have done it and I will check out your blog....

Fat, Frumpy,five's Weekend.

The "Fat,Frumpy, Five" How on earth did we get that name you ask? One of the husbands of the "Fat,Frumpy, Five." said how cool it was that we all can run away on short notice. We all are fat and frumpy and there is five women, that consists of Brandi Douglass our ring leader "rebel", Slywia Hardman Prego and opinionated , Ashley Muller the driver, Tina Bastian "The Mom" or "Molly Mormon" and Stephanie Pyne the "Peace Maker."
We are a very diverse group of women. We have the best time together and the best arguments; I mean debates. We rented a cabin at Point's West Army Rec Center. When we signed in and got our keys we were in Cabin #5. How appropriate for the Fat, Frumpy, Five's Weekend.
Our weekend consisted of 42 hours of talking, belly laughing, and of course some crying. 2 kick butt fun games, 2 crafts (although we only did one.)7 hours of sleep over the whole weekend and lots and lots of food. We were all assigned one meal. We were in charge of cooking and clean up it was awesome. I was in charge of Breakfast Sat morning. I made a Baked Oven Omelet and toast. YUMM YUMM...
We sat and talked, ate, talked, ate... You get the picture. Brandi brought a chick game anytime we ran out of things to talk-debate we would grab the cards and ask a new question.
This weekend opened our eyes on several different levels. We learned so much, and our friendships grew, we made life-time memories. Learned so many new and amazing things. I am so blessed to have these Women in my life. I love them all so much. Thanks for a great weekend Fat Frumpy Four.

Jer's Home!!!! Yeah!!!!

Dr. Davidson told us yesterday that Jeremy would not be going home until Sat. Sigh. WE were so sad... Jeremy was still on him morphine drip and still not eating anything. They wouldn't even give him sips and chips (sips of water or ice chips). I came home and found a sitter for Friday and Sat. When I went to the hospital today they had Jeremy off the Morphine drip and he was having his first clear liquid since Sunday. The Doctor didn't think it was smart to give Jer regular food, He was so hungry. I took a picture of all the cards and gifts Jer go in the hospital. It's so nice to know you are loved.

Kayden and Brooklyn wanted to go on a walk with dad. They were so excited to push dad's Iv around. Yeah high light of their day. I wish this was a better picture. Darn lighting.

Look at Jer he has now advanced from a old-man walker to an an old-man cane. The green belt is a safety thing PT put on him in case he fell. Jer worked on walking up stairs today. He did awesome and no longer needs PT. (Well walking and stairs at home are his PT.) But they cleared him to go home.
Around 1pm the Doctor told Jer he could try his first "Real Food" if he tolerated it great if not back to clear liquids. Jer did awesome, no nausea no throwing up etc. He was tolerating the meds by mouth. The doctor asked Jer what he thought about going home Friday morning. Jer said well how about tonight? The doctor said Okay. The did his paper work and I got to bring him home. Yeah!!!!
I have a picture of his incision and an x-ray of his back. If you do not want to see it stop now. If you do he has 17 staples. Ouch!!!!

Thanks again for every ones prayers on our behalf and for the wonderful friends his we have.

Thanks to everyone who has helped with our children and meals to come. You guys are wonderful, amazing fantastic friends.

The dark spot is the new Disc. It's pretty cool.

Here is his owee incision. It's going to leave quit a scar.

Welcome home Babe. We are so glad you are home.

Jer's Back Surgery

Jeremy had his back surgery Monday March 2nd.
He is doing awesome. His surgery
was about 3 1/2 hours. The surgery went just as Dr. Davidson had planned.
They were able to remove the bad disc and replace it with a artificial one.
They did not need to fuse the vertebrae together. That is a blessing.

Jeremy has had many visitors. Several people from his work and our ward has stopped by to give their love and support.
But tonight we had some special guests. Three Bull Dogs came to see Jeremy. It was so fun to pet them. Boy
we sure miss our Poo Dogs.

Tonight Jeremy walked. He was such a trooper. You wouldn't think it would be hard to walk
up and down the hall but it was super hard. Jer did it though. He had a hard time getting up
this morning. He went really white and almost fainted. They had to give him more oxygen.
He was so sick. WE tired again this afternoon and he was able to sit in a regular chair for a little while.
He is doing so good. The Dr. Davidson said if he keeps going like this we will be able to come home
on Friday. I can't wait to have my sweet hubby home. It's so hard to leave him at the hospital.
I have to come home and take care of our three kids.
We have some wonderful friends that are helping us take care of the kids after school.
We love you all and wanted to say thanks for all your help and for all the prayers in
Jeremy's behalf. I will keep you all posted.

Jer's in the lead!!!

So I am all about the bragging here on my Blog. I just got done bragging about Brooklyn and her wonderful Achievement and here I am again bragging about my husband and his amazing Achievement.
Here is my Handsome Soldier in his class A's. Don't you just love a man in "Uniform"?

Jeremy is the the Retention NCO (Non-Commission officer) for his company. What this mean is he has to encourage people to stay in the Army. He gives out all kinds of incentives and fun stuff; he completes the paper work, and arranges for the soldier to stay in the Army. Every year they are given a certain number of soldiers they want to keep and they have a mission (goal) and it has to be reached by a certain date. Jeremy's Brigade was the first Brigade in their major command to complete their mission.

Jeremy got an ARCOM medal for outstanding service, a beautiful trophy and a Retention Sergeant Major Award of Excellence Coin.
Jeremy and I have a little competition going on, our competition is who can get the better trophy or most coins, certificates, etc. Well for the last two years I have been in the lead. I received a beautiful diamond trophy for serving as the President of the Family Readiness Group I have had the biggest and tallest trophy until now. Jeremy's Trophy now stands higher than mine.
So now I need to work hard and try and beat his trophy. I know this is silly to some people but Jeremy and I love it.

I got two dozen Beautiful Roses from my husband.
Peace offering yep!!!!!
