Animal World Snake Farm Zoo in New Braunfels

The boys were super excited for today's adventure.  Snake Farm and Animal World Zoo.
They were super excited to see over 100 different kinds of snakes.  So we ventured out of San Antonio about 30 minutes.
If you remember the show Dirty Jobs, Mike came here for one of his episodes.  Super Fun.
It's a small zoo but I would Highly Recommend going totally worth the drive and money.
We arrived just in time.  They were about to feed some of the Animals.  So I ran right past all the snakes and headed
to the Animal Part of the Zoo.  We got to see the Hyena's eat first.

Can you believe she is Hand feeding them.  Wow!

We got to see the Mountain lion next.  Do you know how many "Official" Names the
Mountain lion has? It has over 40 different names. The most popular being, Mountain Lion, Cougar, and Puma.

Look at that chunk of meat and look at her hand feed this Cougar.
I loved this little Zoo.  It is not very big and it just became an accredited zoo.
But, they had shows every 30 minutes with a new animal. The first show we watched was with Minnie a lemur monkey.
She was so adorable.

Minnie even performed for us.  How cute.  The kids kept singing the Madagascar song
You've got to move it move it, we've got to move it.

We couldn't hold Minnie the Lemur but they did bring out a bunny we could hold.
Chandler loved how soft it was.
Brooklyn, wanted to take it home.  Of course.

The bunny looks so small in Kayden's hands.

We bought some worms for the Bearded Dragons.  It was fun to see them scurry to eat the wiggley worms.

Kayden, was super excited they let him hold one.

Chandler, wanted to hold one too.
Brooklyn did not.  She didn't even want to feed them.

We named this one George.

One of the kids favorite parts of the zoo. Was the Petting Zoo.
the petting zoo had lots of babies too.  Brooklyn and Chandler were trying to feed the pigs.

Look at the cute little Piglet.

Chandler tried to catch a piglet.  He wanted to hold one so bad.
He said, "Boy, mom they are really fast."

This pictures is hilarious.  Chandler was trying to feed the pigs.  They took his hand
and pushed it to the bottom of the mud pit.  Chandler was just laughing so hard.  Oh those dirty pigs.

This goat was pretty funny. It kept eating the straps to our back pack.
Kayden kept offering food and it just wanted his backpack.

Brooklyn, was in Heaven. Pure and complete Heaven.
Chandler gave up on picking up a pig and settled for a baby goat.
Brooklyn loved holding the baby goats.
Kayden picked up a different baby.
I got to feed some goats too.  What a fun day.
The next animal show was with one of their snakes and a Savannah Monitor from Africa. His name was Bruce.
Brooklyn was first in line to pet Bruce.
Chandler Got to pet him.
I missed a picture of Kayden.  He was too fast.
Here is Bruce in all his style.  Isn't he fun?
Brooklyn, was very brave.  She didn't want to hold the snake at first but she did it
and look she even has a smile on her face.

Kayden, of course wanted to take the snake home. UMMM NO!
Chandler, was super brave and held the Snake too!
The White Lions were Beautiful!
This is the Female White Lion her name is Ngala.
Look how tall Motswari can stand.  It still blows my mind that their trainer is Hand feeding them.
Their trainer has been with them since the female was 4 months and the male was 2 months.  She slept with them and stayed with them 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  She will be their trainer for life. That is quit the commitment.
They love her and she is part of their pride.
Look how gorgeous Motswari is. The Male white Lion.

Ngala is just stretching. Do you see Motswari on the side of her just hanging out. Beautiful Lions
Look how cool the Fennec Fox is.

One of my favorite acts was Katie, the Capuchin Monkey.  Someone purchased this monkey and tried to raise her
from a baby.  But she destroyed her house and they ended up giving the monkey to the zoo.  This trainer got to keep her and train her since she was approximately  6 months old.  Katie goes every where with her trainer.  So when she got this job at Animal World they inherited Katie as well.  Katie is adorable and just stole the show.
Katie, just loving being the center of attention.
The next animal show was Daisy The Albino Snake.
Kayden was so excited he was old enough to hold Daisy.  Awesome!
The alligators were my favorite part.  They were getting excited. They could tell
it was almost lunch time.
The Alligators all started coming out of the water Just waiting for 3 o'clock.
Our kids just kept running back to the petting zoo.
Here they are all with their very own baby goat.
How cute!
Look at his mouth.  Open an ready for some food.
We got to touch a baby Alligator.
This zoo is so great it's so hands on and we got to interact with everything.
Here is the crazy alligator guy who Hand Fed these hungry Alligators.
Jer and I counted 11 Alligators and one Crocodile.
Look how close they are to him.
CRAZY!!!!  LOOK how close we are. I loved watching them eat.
I was a little worried about the guy in the cage with them though.
They are eating Chicken.
Brooklyn, wanted to take a dingo home.
Their names are Bindi and Irwin.
We got to watch Katie the Capuchin Monkey perform again.
Only this time she brought out a 2 month old Baby Capuchin named Mario.
Now you see why people want to own them.  They are just ADORABLE.
Katie loves fruit, and nuts. She is a little bit Spoiled and she knows it.
How cute is Katie with her little hat?  Adorable.
I really wanted to take baby Mario home with us.
Do you see Katie stick her tongue out. Ha!
AWEEEE Baby Mario you are adorable.
Look at his little tongue.
Kayden, asked if he could have his picture with the monkeys.
He promised not to touch them.
Look at these cute Piglets.  Chandler never did get to hold one.
Brooklyn and her baby goat.

Chandler, and his baby Goat.

Kayden, is holding a baby bird.
This owl was looking right at us.
They had a couple Peacocks just walking around the zoo.
These Squirrel Monkeys were so fun to watch.  This is a picture of the baby Squirrel monkey.
His mom kept taking him back inside. The baby kept escaping.  It was so funny.  The mom wanted him inside the baby wanted to be out showing off.
Here is the Momma Squirrel Monkey.
This little guys was just performing for us.  He put on a show.

Kayden got to hold Daisy the Albino for the second time.
I was super brave for a minute.  I got to hold Daisy.  But when her head and tongue started coming towards me
I kind of freaked out and couldn't get her off of me fast enough. She was really heavy too!

Ngala the Female white Lion Beautiful
I love her eyes.
Motswari  is only half grown, He will double in size.
Crazy, to think he is only a teenager. He still has a long way to go.
I just love Ngala
We absolutely loved this little zoo.  I can't wait to go back and see all the changes.
