Brooklyn is a Soaring Eagle

Brooklyn came home with a letter from her school. We opened it and this is what it said.
Congratulations! Your child had been selected the Soaring Eagle for the second nine weeks. Selection for this honor is reserved for student who display traits of excellent character development. You must feel proud to have raised a child who serves as a role model. Thank you for sharing your precious child with us at Freedom park Elementary School.
Your child will be given a certificate and gifts.
Wow! we were all so excited for Brooklyn. She was on TV. It was so cool.

We are so Happy with Brooklyn and her abilities at school. She is so smart and has such a wonderful personality. We love our Brooklyn. Congrats to her and her achievement.

Pinewood Derby

We all had a great time at the Pinewood derby tonight. Kayden's car weighed too much so Jer had to take some weight off the front of his car... Well the back was so heavy Kayden's first race his car jumped the track and went sideways. It was so cool. Okay it made his car get fourth but it was so cool. From then on out WE raced his car back wards. He got second the next three races. We sure have a lot of fun at these pinewood derbys. Kayden has one more year to race... After the pinewood derby we had an open field and anyone could race. Brooklyn loved racing her purple car. We added more weight to make the car weigh 8oz and Chandler raced Kayden's car again he got first place. yeah that's all it needed was a little weight in the front. Brooklyn and her car. She wanted a purple car that had the number 100 as well as 100 dots.

Brooklyn's car weighed 7.9 oz. She was so excited to race her car in the anything goes category. Here is Kayden with his Pinewood Derby car. His car turned out so cool. Jeremy engraved lightnings on the sides and carved number 27 on the top. Super cool car Kayden

Here is a close up of the purple polka dots 100 car....

Kayden's cool pinewood derby car. Looks so awesome!

Here are the kids Kayden with his trophy and Brooklyn with her ribbon and chandler with

Fort

Hanging in the bunker! WE are SAFE!

Hiding from the enemy

Okay we really are friends. Cute kids

moving more sticks.

Brooklyn and Kayden having a fun fight. Luckily no one has got hit. (Crossing my fingers it stays that way)

This is the start of the second fort.

Here is the front of the fort. Look at all those kids hard at word. fun fun

Here is the side of the fort. Pretty cool hu? Lots of hours stacking sticks. I think this is so cool.

Freeze Brooklyn. Girls vs Boys and Brooklyn was taken into prison.

Kayden protecting the fort

My kids are so creative. Behind our house is a little forest. The kids have made a fort with some of their friends. They have so much fun playing all kinds of games of course all of the kids are military so fighting bad guys always plays a huge factor. I am so impressed at how awesome this fort is. They have worked hard making all kinds of walls and they even have a little bunker with carpet. I went out today and took some pictures. It's fun to see all the neighborhood kids playing together. Love a forest in our back yard. Who knew wood and dirt could be so fun.

Super Bowl

We had some friends over to watch Super Bowl 43 The Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals
When everyone arrived they filled out a football projection sheet as to who would win the coin toss, who would get the first touch down, etc. We also played a little game with cut out footballs. When the game started you couldn't say "Football" or you would loose your football. I lost my football first. Surprise surprise. Out of all of the people here only 3 thought the Pittsburgh steelers would win. Tina, Rebbecca and Kayla. Everyone else thought the Arizona Cardinals would win. In fact, the Cardinals had a special nick name. (The Lord's Team) Thanks to Chris. He was so funny the whole game. He kept giving me a hard time. Well, we had loads of fun cheering for our teams. We had a great time stuffing ourselves with all the yummy food.
I love the Super Bowl. Enjoy the pics.
And Chris my team totally won the game!!!!! yeah!!! I guess the best team won..... What do you have to say about your Lord's Team now??
Look at all that yummy "Super Bowl" Food

Here are most of the kids. Of course we had some too busy to stop for a picture. The kids had so much fun playing and hanging out while the adults watched the super bowl.

Here is the group of friends we had over for the Super Bowl.

Here are 25 Random things about me.

1. I have been engaged three times. But luckily for me the fourth was the charm. I love my Eternal Companion Jeremy
2. I have always wanted to be a Social Worker. Someday I will finish my education and achieve that dream.
3.I was a Certified Nurse Assistant in High School
4.I am a Doula and have attended 20 births. I love the miricle of Labor and the birth of a new infant. Hopefully I can do this more as soon as my kids are all in school.
5.I have received several awards for serving in the Army Readiness group. (Family Support) Jer and I are in competition to see who gets more awards and who's is better. So far I am in the lead. I have 50 K diamond award. Super cool!!! beat that Jeremy.
6. I want to teach a marriage class to military families about deployments and re deployments.
7.I really wanted two more children. My poor body gave out. (Just like Jamie I wanted like 8 kids when I was younger and I ended up with only three.) Love my 3 kiddos.
8.I would love to get into decorating my house. I need to read up on some styles. Right now I have a little bit of everything. Giggles. Yeah I really need help in this dept.
9.My house has to be clean. I have to have a shinny floor. No dishes in the sink for me. I hate laundry. I hate that you are never done... No matter if all your baskets are clean the clothes you are wearing are dirty. GRRRR to that house hold chore.
10.I love to go above and beyond in everything I do. I'm a "Total over Achiever".
11.I can't spell. My best friend is spell check.
12.I love to plan everything down to the t. At times being in the Army this is a challenge. But I give it my best shot.
13.I do not keep anything. Being in the Army we move all the time. I am the biggest purger ever.
14. I have a picture fetish. I love to take pictures, look at pictures, scrapbook pictures, frame pictures. You name it I love it. I just started my 15th Album. crazy hu? I also love to blog. I use both my scrapbook and my blogs as my journal. I am only 6 months behind on my scrapbooks. yeah go me.
15.I love to watch the world through my kids eyes. It's fun to see them grow and learn. I love to play and hang out with them. some of my best days are playing and hanging with my kids. Lots and lots of memories.
16.Jeremy and I have a date once a week. We don't always get out but we do something special just the two of us every week.
17.I love love love movies. Any kind of movie. Well not so much the Sci Fi and no R rated.
18. I can't wait to own my own house. Not just to have a house of my own but to plant my roots and not have to move every 16mon-3 years. Someday our first home will be our dream home. It's going to be another 15 years before we have a home. Well unless Jer gets his way. He wants to buy one now. I just don't want the stress of having to sell it or rent it because the army sent us to another state.

22.I talk to strangers all the time. i will be standing in line and strike up a conversation. I think I could make a friend anywhere.

24.My family takes a vacation every year. I think it's super important to be together as a family and have a strong foundation as a family, so every year we do something super fun. When we lived in Georgia the first time we went to Orlando fl. Hawaii we spent time exploring the island. (We also made a few trips home to Utah) When we lived in Maryland we went to Hershey's park and Gettysburg. (We also went home to Utah for Christmas) our second time in Georgia we went back to Orlando and took our kids to Walt Disney World for a week. Super fun. This year I am not sure what we are doing. Maybe going back to Disney. We are moving so who knows.
25.this one is going to be a shocker for you all. I love to talk. I can talk on my home phone, my cell phone and the computer all at the same time. I love to multi task.

Big News!!!!

Being in the Army, always brings on change and big surprise. We are not exempt from these wonderful blessings. Jeremy received an e-mail telling him he was DA Selected to become an Army Recruiter. (Jeremy is not excited, he would rather chew off his right arm than become a recruiter.) We have no way of getting out of this assignment. He can't even be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. He attends recruiter school June 15-July 31st. We will know where we are going the week of July 5th. We get to submit 9 different places we would like to go. We are looking at Florida, Texas, Utah, North Carolina, and Arizona. Tina and the kids are going to Utah for the 6 week school.

Because we are leaving for 6 weeks and will most likely have to rent a house in our new area, we have chosen to find new homes for our beautiful wonderful poo dogs. This was a really hard decision. We love our dogs so much... We have cried for many days. (yes all of us) We just do not have the money to fly them home for 6 weeks, or kennel,or pay Friends to keep them for 6 weeks. We also will not be living on a Military base or the chance is slim, so we have to find a rental. It's hard enough trying to find a rental for our family then have to accommodate our beautiful dogs. WE have very little time to find a place to live and move. WE will be moving sometime in August. We will be staying in several hotels along the way. WE are very sad to loose two family members.

But we were very blessed in the homes we found for them, when we made the decision we were going to find new homes for our dogs it happened really fast. I am talking one day for Ceaser and two days for Zoey.

Ceaser went to a wonderful family "The Brown's". They are going to spoil Ceaser. It's just Mr & Mrs Brown their son is in college. So Ceaser gets to hang out with adults all day and be spoiled. Mrs Brown even said she would send me pictures of Ceaser. (now that's my kind of owner!) When it was time for him to leave, Ceaser jumped right into their car. I know he is going to be so happy. We love Ceaser so much. He has been a member of our family for 5 years. It's really hard to let him go... but we know this is what we need to do. We love our Ceaser!!!As for Zoey she has been in our family for 7 months. She has been such a joy to have. It's been fun to have a dog that actually wants to play all the time. Ceaser was a little stuck up in that department. Zoey was so full of life. WE finally got her potty trained and kennel trained.
Zoey is going to be in heaven she is going to live with The Perez's on the farm. They already have three beagles. Mr. Perez trains them to hunt rabbit. Zoey will be doing what her breed of dog is meant to do. Not only that but she will have lots of friends. Zoey will also become a MOM. Maybe we will get one of her puppies. That would be really cool. WE love you Zoey!!!

We feel really blessed that we were able to find such wonderful homes for our poo dogs. I am super happy it happened so fast. We will miss our poo dogs. Here is a tribute to them. I am posting some of our favorite pictures.

We will miss our Ceaser and Zoey!!!!
