Grandma & Grandpa Smith visit

We are so excited Grandma & Grandpa Smith go to visit us this summer for 5 weeks.  We got to spend lots of quality time exploring Europe, playing games, watching movies, and just being together.  I love the memories we get to make with my parents.  So grateful they were able to visit.

I have done several blog post of all our adventures.  This post is just a little bit of their visit. 

My Dad Evan is not a huge game player.  He really doesn't like it.
I really cherish the sacrifice he makes in sitting and playing games with us. 
We were playing Telestration it is a drawing game this game was right up my Daddy's ally so he joined us.

My Mom wanted to go to the black forest because that is where her family was from.
We go to stop at a glass blower workshop and it was fascinating. 

We could have blown our own vase for 15 euro.  Mom and I thought about it and we just
didn't know what we would do with it.  So we just took a picture. 

We got to watch the glass blowers at work. 

They even made beautiful designs. 

They even etched the glass.  Wow!

Our first night in Ulm, Germany on our way to Salzburg, Austria

The hotel lobby was a great handout spot.  They even had a wii for the kids to play on.
After we got everyone settled Jeremy and I headed out to explore Ulm, Germany. (The kids wanted to stay at the Hotel with Grandma & Grandpa. )

Ulm Minster is a Lutheran Church in downtown Ulm. It has 3 Spirals, and 13 bells. It was constructed in 1377

The steeple is one of the largest steeples in the world. It measures 161.6 meters (530 feet). You can pay 5 euro and climb 768 steps. We didn't go to the top because we didn't have time. But I bet the view is breath taking.

This was a fun bell clock we got to hear go off a couple of times.

Crooked House- The Fisherman's House was built in 1443 around an older smaller building. The broad cornel to the south pulled the house even closer to the water. Until it was reinforced with a concrete foundation in 1873.

When the city slaughter house was built on the Danube outside the city wall in 1350,
a passage had to be made through the wall.
