Eagles Nest

This morning we drove to Berchtesgaden to explore Eagles Nest.
Eagles Nest was constructed for Hitler's 50th Birthday.  The Construction started in April 1937 and needed to be completed by April 20,1939 Birthday.  It took 50 million dollars to create this master piece. 300 men worked day and night, winter and summer for 13 months straight.
The elevation is 1,834 meters (6,017 feet)
The weather was perfect. The sun was shining and you could see for miles and miles and could see the top of the mountains. What an incredible view.

Waiting for our bus/tour we had about an hour wait.

A pic with everyone. Can't wait to explore Hitler's Tea House aka Eagles Nest.

At the start of the tunnel leading to the elevator to rise another 124 meters to the top of Eagles Nest.

Love exploring with these kids of mine. Always ready for an adventure

Jer and I in the brass paneled elevator.

Here is the Eagles Nest in all its glory.

I was so happy we had a clear day, Look at this amazing view.

We are on top of the world.

We hiked up to the cross and Kayden went even higher climbing the rocks.
