Girls Camp *You are Here 2016

This year for girls camp I was called in by the Stake President, Pres. Adams and asked if I would be the Stake Assistant Camp Director for the Kaiserslaughtern Military Stake.  I got to work with this wonderful Lady and Camp Director Rachel Westhoff.  We started planning camp Sept 2015.  It was a lot of fun planning this years camp.  Rachel had a vision... She saw this t-shirt of the plan of salvation and wanted that to be our camp theme.  It was kind of hard to work with this theme.  We just kind of had to make it up as we went along.  But we totally made it work and camp was super amazing.
Our Daily Themes were:
Monday *You are Here Teach.Serve.Lead
Tuesday *You are here Press Forward
Wednesday * You are here have hope
Thursday * You are here Love
Friday * You are here Endure
Saturday * You are home Remember
Here we are all packed up and ready for camp.
That's a lot of Camping Supplies.
Rachel, asked me if I would be over the YCL (Youth Camp Leaders)
I was so excited when she asked me.  We had 35 YCL this year.  I got to know these girls so well.
Our training this year was a little difficult as we were not all in the same area.  We had girls coming from all over Europe.
ALL of our training/ communication was done via e-mail.  These YCL's were pretty amazing and did a wonderful job running camp.
I had a lot of fun crafting little daily gifts for the YCL's.
Monday-  *You are here Teach. Serve. Lead.
I made YCL Survivor kits to help them get through the week.
Tuesday * You are here. Press Forward
I made them pillow boxes filled with Rhinestones and black Jelly beans.
The Quote, "A Diamond is just a piece of coal tht has been refined through intense heat and great pressure. If your feeling Pressure have faith and Press Forward you are about to SHINE!"
Wednesday *You areHere. Have Hope.
Little flashlight with the Quote,
"Never give up Hope! Even the smallest Light chases away the darkness."
Thursday *You are Here. Love
Heart shaped post it notes.
The best way to Love someone is to Serve and do kind things for them.  Take the opportunity to serve throughout camp. Do something nice and leave a heart post it note with a love note.
Quote, President Dieter F. Uchtodrf said, "Love is the measure of our Faith the inspiration for our Obedience, and the true altitude of our Discipleship. "
Friday * You are Here. Endure
I made Pencil heart arrows, To remind the girls to keep their eyes on the prize of Eternal LIfe. By choosing their Focus, choosing to be happy, and finding the joy in the journey.
Monday night we had 33 of the 35 YCL's pretty awesome.  We got to train and prepare for camp all day on Monday.
It was so fun to get to know these girls better.  For dinner Monday night, we ate at the Local restaurant.  It was nice not to have to worry about dinner.  We showed up and they had our meal all ready and we got to sit and enjoy a nice German dinner.
The girls were so excited to get their t-shirts.
After all our training was complete and we had a devotional by Rachel we ended the night
with a Dance Party!
Every Morning Sister Tarbet one of the Couple Missionaries would do a Sunset Yoga class.
It was a lot of fun.  This was my favorite pose.
Every evening we had a YCL Meeting.

First time the entire camp gathered for our first devotional.
What's a girls camp without a proper wave? Do you see the beauty that surrounded us?
This kind of summed up camp nicely.  It was AWESOME!
Morning Devotional in the field.
Skit night was pretty epic!
These girls put a lot of work into their skits.  One of the younger girls wrote this Up skit.
Our K-town girls did a fabulous job with the Olympics.
No camp is complete without smores and starburst roasting.
Wednesday night we had the award winning Snipe Hunt.
Here are the first year YCL's ready to get their first year girls out of bed for the big hunt.
Look we are ready to go snipe hunting.  We have toothpaste on our nose, our jackets are turned around and we are ready to find these Snipes.
Here is the Red team flashlight ready and they are off.
The blue team has caught their first SNIPE.
Here are all the first years.
What is not to love about being out of your bed and cabin at 11pm to find snipes?
It was a huge success all the snipes have been found and accounted for.
Well done First years and First year YCL's.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Girls camp this year.

YCL's The best group of Young Women.
Seriously we are going to see some amazing things from these Young Women.
I'm sad we are going to loose so many this year as they are entering their Senior year and going to graduate and head off to college.  I can't wait to see how they change the world.
It really was such an awesome blessing working with these
YCL's.  THEY ROCK!!!
This year for the Hike the girls went up in small groups of  approximately 50 girls at a time. It took about an hour to hike up to the Cave.  The girls got to suit up in boots, shirts, hard hats and flash light so they could take a 15 min tour of the Cave.  Some girls even go to see the Bats.   It was pretty amazing.
It was a little tricky on our schedule.  But I'm so happy we were able to make this cave hike work.  I think all the girls will remember this excursion for sure.
We had the best Camp Photographer this year.
She captured some amazing pictures.
This was a tunnel we made for the girls who were coming back from their hike to run
through.  So much fun.  Love, Love these girls.
Our next adventure as YCL's was coming up with the Mock Disaster.
We had this stray cat that kept causing all kind of issues at camp.
We tried to get the girls not to touch the cat because it had not been immunized and we were not sure if
it carried disease or fleas, etc.  Well, the YCL's decided the cat would be the cause of the Mock Disaster.
Ha Ha Ha!  So all the YCL created a senerio as to what the Cat did to cause the first aid emergency.
It was hilarious and the YCL's were so clever in making up their stories.  It was so fun!
I'm telling you some of these girls were so talented with the make up and made their
injuries look so real.  This cut was amazing!!!!
Here the girls are trying to help one of the YCL's who fell down two flights of stairs because the cat started chasing here.
The Cat attacked her arm.  Help please fix it.
The fourth years got to go on a high ropes course/adventure.
Hearing stories about this event.  Some girls thought they were going to die.
It was hilarious.  They were all very brave and no one got hurt. ;-)
Here are my K-Town Peeps
Lucia, Bryton, Olivia, Brooklyn,Mckayla, Riley, Annalee, Abby, Parker, and Mkay
Oh wait, this looks more like them.  Ha!
The K-Town girls all 12 of them got to ride up together in the Buttons van.

My sweet Baby girl.  I love being able to be at camp with her.
To spend as much time with her as I can.  She is just the best.  I heart her!!!  <3 nbsp="" td="">
Brooklyn has the Best Friends.

K-Town Cuteness!!!!!

Seriously can't get enough of these girls.
You make the best memories at camp!!!
The K-Town girls were headed out for some Star Tipping and came in to say Hi.
I wish I could have gone with them.  But alas I have a meeting.
Luckily the girls have the best leader in the WORLD.  Sister Bethany Hills is just AMAZING
She went star tipping with the girls and had so much fun.  We are so blessed to have her as their leader.
And.... Here is the CAT.
That wraps up this years Girls camp.
Can't wait for next year and all the new memories.
