Apple Capital of the World

We are moving to Wenatchee, WA. It's a small town in the center of Washington State.
The Town of Wenatchee is the Apple capital of the World. Can't wait to eat some fresh fruit and veggies from the awesome farmers markets.
Wenatchee is 45 minutes from any interstate.
2 hours to any major city or International airport.
2-3 hours to a temple. So Sad! But on a happier note I have three temples within a 2- 3 hour drive. Seattle, Spokane, and Columbia River.
When you think of Washington you think of lots of rain right? Well not in Wenatchee
can you say S-N-O-W. I am not excited. I love the nice warm weather. (Darn Hawaii and Georgia.) My kids are super excited. I am a little excited we found a tubing park. That sounds fun. Or going on a snowmobile ride. How fun is that? Not to mention the Hocky team. I have never been to a hocky game. That will be interesting. So many fun things to do in Wenatchee.
WE have 300 days of Sunshine.
We have a fun Candy Factory.
Lots of camping, hiking, swimming, bike trails, lots of orchards. oh did I mention S-N-O-W ?

We are super excited to move. Jeremy has 4 1/2 more weeks of school. YEAH!!!

We are going to do a ditty move. I know crazy! We want to move the week of Thanksgiving to try and avoid as much snow as possible. That's only 7 weeks away. So Crazy!

Jer and I sat down and planned out our trip. We are going to take 7-8 days and a little vacation. We are going to see our friends the Pynes in Kentucky,Go to Independence Missouri and Liberty Jail, Mt Rushmore in Rapid city South Dakota, Devils Tower & Little Big Horn, all on our way. What a fun trip.
We already have boxes and packing supplies. Now we just need to get a truck and our friends to help and we are on our way to our new adventure in Wenatchee WA.

Remembering

This morning at work we had a moment of silence at 0845. Everyone on Ft Gordon (mission allowing) was standing outside their offices. At 0847, the MPs and fire department turned on their sirens for one minute. Afterward, we stood there for a moment of silence. It was humbling to stand outside with all the students in formation and all the civilians and other Soldiers standing there. For at least one minute after the sirens stopped, there was almost complete silence all over post. We would like to thank all those who, like us, serve in the military and sacrifice for our freedoms. We also want to thank all those who support us and others like us. We also want to thank our Heavenly Father for the chance to live in America and enjoy the freedoms we have here. We pray for the day that all of our Heavenly Father's children enjoy the same blessings.

A real update!!! And story of Brooklyn.

Because of all our update on our 7 week vacation. I have slacked a little in the "Real" News. The kids all started school. We had a really rough day starting. Chandler starts school 20 minutes before Brooklyn and Kayden so I only got the first day of pics for Chandler. But what a handsome stud he is. I love this picture of him. I should have taken pics for the other too but we were late dropping them off. GRRRR to the first day of school and different times. Miss Brooklyn lost her very first tooth. She was so excited. Let me tell you this tooth has been ready to come out for a couple weeks. Finally it happened. Brooklyn pulled and pulled until the tooth just came out. She though she lost it and was crying. She was like the Tooth Fairy can't come if my tooth is not under my pillow. So we searched for her tooth. After some searching and a prayer Brooklyn found her tooth. She was so excited to get her $ from the Tooth Fairy. Look at that happy toothless grin. Aweee my precious daughter lost her very first tooth.... I live for sweet moments like this.
Okay so I missed an important event on the first day of school. Brooklyn started 1st grade this year. She is so excited to be in 1st grade she loves her teacher Mrs. Blakely. We take all our kids to school but they ride the bus home. Well at about 4pm I had snack ready for Brooklyn and Kayden and lots of hugs and kisses only one problem, Just Kayden walked in the door. I was flipping out. Where is Brooklyn? Where is Brooklyn? Kayden said he didn't know she wasn't on the bus??? What do you mean she wasn't on the bus. Now mind you I had to fill out several papers as to how my children would be coming and going from school. Brooklyn was a bus rider in the afternoon. I immediately called the school talked to miss Blakely she said the she personally put Brooklyn on the Bus. So now I have a missing Brooklyn. I was totally freaking out. Where on earth could my little princess be. I got a call from Mrs. Nelsen Brooklyn's Kindergarten teacher she and Mrs. Bradley the principle were out looking for Brooklyn. I followed a bus and it stopped at our stop nope no Brooklyn. Where is my little girl? So I said a little prayer I was told to go to a different bus stop. Low and behold another bus was coming. Brooklyn was the only one on that bus. As it turned out Brooklyn was put on the bus that goes to the other end of post and luckily for me Brooklyn is super smart and knows her Address and phone #. She told the bus driver where to go to drop her off. So at 5pm I got my little girl back. Yicks. Did I mention what a horrible day this was?????

Kayden is now in the 4th grade. He is working so hard. His homework more than doubled from last year. Just to get a picture as to his homework He has about 2-3 work sheets 25 spelling words 10 vocabulary words and 30 minutes of reading. He doesn't have much down time he gets home from school at 4pm So by the time he is finishes his home work it's dinner, tubbits and bed time. He does gets a little down time when he gets to read. He loves Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. NO HOMEWORK and he can do whatever he wants.
So of course he was playing in the forest and found a praying mantis. So cool. I got a picture of the critter and not him. HUMM what was I thinking???

So I added a cute picture of the boys with Daisy. (We were dog sitting) Playing the Wii.
boy we love down time...
