Jeremy and I had the best day exploring New York City with Chris and Tonna.
Our morning started really early. We had to be down to breakfast at 6 am to catch our shuttle to the airport at 6:30am to catch our train at 7:20am to get to New York and walk to our tour about 30 min from the train station. So thankful for shuttles, trains, ferries and the subway we did not have to drive in New York, city.
We got to our tour location a little early and decided to see if they had any tickets for same day broadway shows (a bucket list item for both Tonna and Tina)we gave them our wish list and all that was left was Aladdin, Blue man group, and Wicked. Naturally we chose Wicked. Jeremy had never seen wicked and was so excited to see it. I had seen it a couple years ago and Chris and Tonna has seen it three times 😬 However, they were so sweet to come see it with us for their fourth time. That’s love people!
Our 8 hour Manhattan tour started in downtown New York, City at time square.
We got to ride on a double decker bus on top of course and the last row in the back. Sweet best seats on the bus. We got to see all the main highlights of New York, City. We got to take an hour ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty, The Brooklyn Bridge, and the New York Skyline from the Hudson River. We got back on the bus and went to the Brooklyn side of New York. We ended our tour at Rockefeller Center. With the option of going up to the observation deck. We were all a little tired and chose NOT to stand in the crazy long line to go to the observation deck. Instead we watched them start to prep the pool for the ice rink. We took some fun pictures and headed for an early dinner before Wicked.
We ate at Ellen’s Stardust where your servers sing and entertain you while you eat. It was such a fun experience. Tonna and I loved singing along with them they sang Happy Birthday to Tonna! It was pretty Epic! Tonna saved our drinks when they shot off the confetti gun. 😂 They have lost 200 waiter/waitresses who have gone on to broadway, hired by cruises, and ended up recording, one of their waiters was nominated for a Tony wow! Super cool. It was a blast! We ended the night at Wicked and headed back to our hotel at 10pm. We had to take the subway back to the train starting back to the airport to catch our shuttle back to the hotel. We had a full day of adventure 18 hours to be exact and many, many new wonderful, amazing memories. We absolutely Love, Love New York and can’t wait to bring our kids back. Tomorrow bright and early I head to Arkansas to party with William and Jessenia whoop, whoop, Vacations ROCK!
