Brooklyn's 15th Birthday

It's my sweet Brooklyn's Birthday!!! This years Birthday theme is all about Chocolate! Jeremy found some cute chocolate phrases and made her cute sign. This was a first.  It was so fun to see him so involved in planning Brooklyn's Birthday.   My favorite quote is “I’m tough and can take anything life throws at me l... Especially if it’s dipped in Chocolate!”
Brooklyn, has grown into such an amazing young woman. We are so very blessed to have her in our family. She blesses my life every single day. She still loves animals, Art, and has recently taken up singing, she is the historian for the thespian club. Brooklyn we hope you have a Happy Happy 15th Birthday Brooklyn!
We love you Baby Girl!!!!

Chocolate Table, looks almost good enough to eat.

The beautiful sign Jeremy made for Brooklyn.  Well done, Love.

Brooklyn's Chocolate door.  We put lots of chocolates all over the door.
I was really nervous because the chocolate would not stick to the glue dots or the tape
Jeremy saved the day and wrapped the chocolates in tape and put them on the door.  It turned out so cute.

When you can't find chocolate wrapping paper you make your own.
It just happens that I had a chocolate stamp set and took brown paper and stamped it.
It turned out so cute.

Brooklyn wanted cheese danish for breakfast.

Brooklyn wanted Nutella Brownies

The Brown boys were staying the weekend with us while
their mother went to Jerusalem to visit their dad.

Our Baby girl is 15!

Love this face.  Nothing is better than seeing your daughter happy.

Brooklyn's best friend Oliva gave her a present.

Oliva made a beautiful card and said some special things and wonderful memories.
Best Friends are a blessing from God.

Oliva, gave Brooklyn a wing bracelet.

Girls Trip to Heidelberg

Sept 15-17 We got to leave our families for a fun Girls weekend!  I must admit the hardest part of organizing this Girls weekend was not organizing or leaving my  family it was picking the location for our Girls weekend.  Living in Germany you have so many options for a weekend get away.   We needed to stay close to home so we chose to go an hour away to Heidelberg.
Beautiful Heidelberg

Oh boy we are in for a treat this weekend with all five of us.
We have packed lots of drinks, food, and games.  It's going to be a picture perfect weekend.

I love the women in this picture.
Rachel Ambrus, Sheri Henderson, Sarah Kinsman, Tina Bastian and Lonna Pardue

After  Checking into our hotel we headed out to walk the 15 minutes to the Heidelberg Castle.
We had so much fun playing truth or dare.  These ladies are crazy and we had a blast
taking pictures with strangers, eating leaves, and hugging lamp posts.  Some of our truth questions
really got deep and we all were laughing so hard we couldn't walk.

Majestic Heidelberg Castle at dusk.  Isn't it beautiful.  I can only image what it
looked like back when it was built.  BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks to Sheri she had a selfie stick and we were able to capture a couple awesome pics of us exploring the town.
Rachel, Sheri, Tina, Sarah, Lonna, and Garrett with Heidelberg in the background.

We went into town for dinner ended up at an  Italian Restaurant.  Funny story I was holding Garrett but Lonna
had to feed him after she got finished feeding him she gave him back to me to burp and love on.
The server in the background came up and asked me if Lonna was my wet nurse.  We all laughed so hard.   Nope, she is the mother.

Our Bed and Breakfast in Heidelberg
Sheri, Rachel, Tina, Sarah, Lonna, and Garrett.

We parked down by the mall and sat and played games for a couple hours.
Rachel, Sarah, and Lonna

Tina & Garrett, and Sheri

Oh my gosh we were laughing so hard playing Watch your mouth.
Seriously how fun is this game.

Look at all these beautiful Women.

We totally Rocked this game.

Sarah, was so smart to bring her camping table.
It was a perfect set up for games and snacks.  We were up until the wee hours in the morning laughing and having fun.
We were so good to have fresh veggies and fruit to snack on as well.

We had the best tacos in downtown Heidelberg.

After exploring the castle we went down into the town.
Here we are standing in the city center with Heidelberg castle on the hill.
Standing on the old bridge. Can you see the Castle behind us?  Beautiful!

We got to watch a groom sing to his bride.

Sarah, Tina, and Sheri at the City center.  Love!

Garett and I in the famous Monkey if you rub the disk you are sure to come back
to Heidelberg.  It has worked so far I have been back four times.

Playing spoons while we wait for our food.
It's all fun and games until you try to go home.  The battery died and we had to
say a prayer that God would send someone to help us.  Our prayer was answered 2 mintues later
when a sweet guy who just happened to be parked next to us helped us out.  We tried to give him some chocolate and he wouldn't accept anything.  We drove home and ended the night at a German Restaurant eating the delicious Bann schnitzel.
We had a wonderful weekend making a lot of new memories and being crazy.  I think every Woman should have besties to run away with and make lots of new memories.

Bernkastel-kus winefest Sept 2. 2017

Our second Adventure was the Best festival of the year. The Bernkastel-Kues wine festival along the Moselle River. The morning started out dry and the afternoon got very wet. We had a couple hours of rain. When the rain stopped the first time we left the kids and headed to the festival to drink the best Traubensaft (Grape Juice) in town. I personally love the Rot (red). We got to enjoy live music, different bands play throughout the festival. We got to eat latke potato pancakes. The kids loved the amusement park in the rain. Chandler and Denny hit up a couple rides in the pouring rain. We didn't let the rain stop our fun we snuggled in close with our umbrellas and played games. We were a little nervous that it wouldn't stop raining and we wouldn't be able to watch the fireworks. However, around 8pm the rain stopped and we got to enjoy the spectacular 30 minute firework show that reenacts how the castle was destroyed a couple hundred years ago. It was a battle between Barges from the Moselle river attacking the Castle then the Castle fighting back. So you watch fireworks go back and forth from the river to the castle. The end of the firework show the lights are turned on the castle to look like it was on fire. So amazing!
The boys playing games.

The parents won't take us to the Amusement park yet... guess we will play more games.

I love this picture of the Emily and Megan. They were looking at the swans.
Megan and I had to take a field trip to see those beautiful swans.

My love in front of Landshut Castle Ruins with the Moselle river behind us.

One of the live bands.

Okay, so not a great picture of me. But... I love the women in this picture!

We got to watch these seaplanes land on the water.

I don't think there is anything more adorable than my sweetheart snuggling Garett.

Once again we were battling the rain. DennisnSarah Kinsman had a pretty sweet setup table and a huge umbrella. We all huddled around their table all with our own umbrellas while we played games.

Denny and Chandler loving the freedom to run around the Festival without parents.

Everyone loves riding rides in the rain!

Kayden and Zach built this shelter from the rain. Smart boys!

The best firework show EVER!
