Cruise day 4 Belize City, Belize

Belize does not have a port big enough for the ship. So they had to put everyone on a littler boat to take us to the city of Belize.  It's called a Tender.  All the guest that had purchased a Shore Excursion  had priority for the first couple hours.  We decided we were going to eat a later breakfast and just wait for our ticket to be called.  We were in the last group before they opened up the tender for anyone to use. It was a nice relaxing morning.  We finally got on the Tinder about 10am

Here we are on the tinder headed to Belize.  The kids didn't really want to leave the ship.
Jeremy and I assured them it would be good to get off and see land.  I love that they enjoy the ship so much
but I did want them to explore and have fun at our ports as well.
You can see our huge ship and the little Tender. Now you can understand why it took
a couple hours to move people from the ship to Belize.

Look how clear and beautiful the water is.

We are almost to Belize.

A nice Lady took this picture of us.
We made it to Belize City, Belize
Jeremy and I wanted to see the City and go swim at the beach. As soon as you get off the ship there are all
kinds of people trying to sell you a trip or vacation.  We found one that was a city tour and a Private Man made beach.
The price was right so we decided to try it.  I was a little nervous because it was not a package through the ship and if anything went wrong my family of 5 could be left here in Belize.  I said a little prayer and felt good about going on this adventure.  So off we went.
The van was full, every seat was taken.  They really packed us in like sardines.  Our tour guide was really great.  He shared a lot of history with us.  Here is some random huge ball at one of the beaches.
He took us around the city.  Here was another Beach.

Marion Jones Sports Complex Project.
Our tour guide was amazing.  He stopped at this cute sign just so we could take a picture.  This is my kind of a guy.
There were three different groups in the van and all of us got out and  were able to take some pictures.
This is one of my favorite pictures of our entire cruise.
I was a little sad as we continued to drive around Belize we just saw how poor this Country was.
Our tour guide even stopped to show us the Iguana.  AWESOME!
The Private Beach we went to was called Old Belize

Here is our Tour guide with the kids. We walked through a little museum on the way to the beach.
The kids thought it was really cool to walk through this trunk from a mahogany tree.

Old Belize had a pretty high slide.

Jer and Brooklyn headed for the slide.

We got our own chairs.  Brooklyn loved how they were painted and has fish on them.

Chandler, was the first to go down the slide.  He is a daredevil.
Others had to work up the courage to go down the slide.  Not Chandler he also rode it the most.
He loved the slide.

Here is Brooklyn going down the slide.

Jeremy, going down the slide.
Kayden, going down the slide.
I left the man made beach to step into the real beach.  It was so pretty.

Jer and Chandler having fun.

Old Belize, Isn't it beautiful.  It was so perfect for our little get away.
Jer and the kids waiting in line for the rope swing.

Chandler, was again the first to attempt the rope swing.

Brooklyn, was next

Then Jeremy

and Kayden.
Kayden really loved the rope swing.  He spent the most time on the swing.

Chandler, can really fly.

Brooklyn didn't want to get a lot of air.  She could almost touch the water.

Jeremy liked the rope swing too!

We even had a DJ playing music all day. We could sing and dance.
Kayden even got to play a game of volleyball.

Jer and I trying to dry off.

Back on the Tender to go back to the ship.

Good Bye Belize we have made a lot of wonderful memories.

We were pretty sure it was about to down pour on us the wind was blowing pretty hard and we felt a couple rain drops. Luckily we were on the ship before the huge storm hit.  But those clouds were not looking very friendly.  The ocean still looks beautiful.
Tonight was the Ice dancing' Spectacular
It was pretty awesome.

We loved the Ice Hockey dance.
Kind of made us miss watching the games in Wenatchee.
This dance was pretty impressive.  Ice Skating and juggling.

Tonight was The Love and  Marriage Game Show
Oh my goodness this was so funny Jeremy and I were in Tears more than once.
The cruise director made this game hilarious.
They had a newly wed couple that had been married for 4 days, A couple that had been married 25 years and another couple that had been married 62 years.  The couple that won was the couple that had been married 62 years.
They didn't miss a single questions.  It was awesome! I wanted to be one of the couples but Jeremy was not super excited about it.  So I didn't volunteer us.  In the end I was glad I didn't.  It was a blast watching these couples trying to match the question.  I almost wish they played this game nightly.
When we got back to our room we were treated by a Seal.  So cute.
I love how the Sunglasses just add so much character to this seal.
