Kayden, was a Woopie Cushion...Again
He really rocks this costume!!!

Brooklyn, wanted to wear her costume from Oliver.  She is an orphan.

Chandler, really wanted to be a "Soldier". We bought the costume and had it hanging in his closet.  Then his friend Dallin was going to be Batman so last minute Chandler decided he too wanted to be "BATMAN" Again!!!!
We got to keep these cute kids for three days.  So Much fun; we heart them.

The Tibbets joined us this year for our Halloween traditions.  We started the night taking some fun pictures.  We ate Brains with eyeballs, Garlic bread, salad, and I made individual pumpkin pies.  YUMMY!!!!  After pictures, dinner, the kids did their trick-or-treating in the house and we watched Spider Wick Chronicles.  What a super fun night with awesome friends.

We went over to our neighbors they had all decorated their floor amazing.  It was so fun to go and see all their decorations and take lots of cute Halloween pictures.

How fun is this?

Happy Halloween!!!!

The kids were so excited to get in Jammies and dance for us.

The kids were laughing so hard, it made me laugh.

WE love our Halloween traditions.

Cinnamon Roll Competition

Kayden and Brooklyn have been looking forward to this little competition for 6 months.  We always have cinnamon rolls and some egg dish for General Conference. Last April, Kayden and Brooklyn got talking about who could make the better Cinnamon Rolls. They decided next conference, Oct 2013, they would see who could make the better Cinnamon Roll.  The deal is NO ONE can help them, they have to use the same recipe (the recipe they chose was the one I always make.)
 Let the competition begin...
***Note check out the two eggs on the counter***

Brooklyn learning the art of the AWESOME Bosch. NO kitchen should be without one.

Kayden is doing an awesome job making sure the scoops and measurements are precisely the right measurements.
*Notice the eggs.*

Kayden kneading his dough.

Brooklyn kneading her dough.

Time to roll the dough out.

Brooklyn's turn to roll out her dough.

Time to add the yummy sugar paste!

Brooklyn adding her yummy sugar paste!

Kayden cutting his cinnamon rolls.  They are not all the same size.  How fun!!  I love that they can make cinnamon rolls all by themselves.  That is pretty awesome!

They are finished and look pretty amazing!!!

Brooklyn making sure her cinnamon rolls are precisely the same size.

I think she did an awesome job making sure they were all the same size.  way to go baby girl.

All cooked and ready to be judged.  They worked together to make the cream cheese  frosting
The Tibbets joined us for breakfast, conference, and of course judging the cinnamon rolls. Che brought over some yummy waffles and homemade syrup. We made our baked spinach and bacon omelet. Super delicious!  Kayden was the over all winner.  However, everyone loved how Brooklyn made a yummy sugar and cinnamon caramel sauce on the bottom of her cinnamon rolls.  I really enjoyed watching the kids make their cinnamon rolls.  I love that they know how to cook and make yumminess.  And a little competition never hurts :-)  Kayden and Brooklyn want to combine the way they made cinnamon rolls and go against me in April.  This should be fun for sure.  I think a new tradition has started in the Bastian home.  So remember when I told you to check out the eggs?  Both Brooklyn and Kayden forgot to put the egg in their cinnamon rolls.  Bahaha!!!  I had to laugh.    Note to self teach my children to go back and read their recipe to make sure they have all the ingredients.  At least the playing field stayed pretty even.

Baby Girls 11th Bday

This year Brooklyn wanted an "ART/Rainbow party"  Jeremy and I had a lot of fun decorating the house for
 the birthday Girl
Brooklyn, Daddy and I hope you always search for your RAINBOW.  And know when the storm comes in there is always a RAINBOW waiting for you.  WE love you so much. We are indeed very blessed to have you as our Daughter.  We love  your bubbly personality, your ability to make friends with anyone, your peace making talents, and your fun attitude.  Some of your favorites.  Right now, you are really into doing nails.  Your own and anyone that will sit still for a minute.  That includes your brothers.  (Toes) You love Squinkies.  You are still obsessed with anything little.  You still love animals and want to become a veterinarian when you grow up.

Brooklyn's Birthday fell on a busy night of the week.  We decited to have her Dinner on Monday and she invited Deja to join us for her Birthday Dinner.  Justin one of Chandler's friends joined us as well.

Brooklyn, wanted Chinese so I made Chicken fried rice, and Shrimp egg rolls with rice noodles.
I must admit I was a little nervous.  I have never made egg rolls before and I didn't have a receipe for the kind Brooklyn wanted.  EEEEKKKK  But dinner turned out super yummy!!!  Yeah!

Brooklyn's Birthday Table.  Jeremy did this fun color tent.  I made the tissue balls.

Super fun Rainbow door.

Brooklyn, wanted crepes for her Birthday Breakfast.

My baby girl is 11 Yr old. So Sassy!!!!

I just love these two kiddos.  Soon I will have two teenagers.  EEEKKKK

Our Beautiful, Spunky, Loud, Children.

Brooklyn, with her 5th Grade  teacher Mr. Monroe.   Mr. Monroe  asked Brooklyn a lot of questions.  They sang Happy Birthday and  She is a jolly good fellow.  As a little Boy Mr. Monroe attended a private school it was tradition in his school to sing ,"For He is a jolly good Fellow"  So now as he teaches he has carried on that tradition. He must have known how much we love traditions in this family.  Love it!

Brooklyn, wanted Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies for her class treat.

Brooklyn, loves the Clay Kayden got her.

Oh boy more nail polish and decals for her nails.

Since Brooklyn can not have a dog here in Korea. Chandler got her a Fijit which is kind of like a dog.  You can train your fijit to do tricks with your commands.  Awesome!
Brooklyn, can now officially give you a pedicure.  I can't wait to stick my feet in her Orbeez spa.  Yes, please!!!

Brooklyn, wanted an Art party.
Here are Brooklyn's invites, they turned out so cute.

Brooklyn, wanted a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing.
Jeremy and I added this cute rainbow to go with her color party.

Brooklyn's Party was full of Color, We had a fruit and veggie platter rainbows.  I made rainbow bread that turned out so fun.

We are missing a couple girls but here is the party of future ARTISTS.

The girls all got their own apron, paint pallet, and canvas.  I made these super cute place settings for the girls.

We had magic drinks.  We froze different color of Kool-aid and put them in clear cups added Sprite and the Sprite turned color as did the flavor as the ice cubes melted.  The girls loved this!

All the girls giving us one clue so we could guess their favorite color.
Of course we ate the rainbow as we talked.  Got to love brain power aka Skittles.

Here is the group of girls all eating yummy rainbow food.
These girls were so talented.  It's amazing how many awesome pictures we had.  Some seriously talented ladies.

My friend Sara Isom came to help with the party.  I was so happy to have her.
