When the cats away the mice will play

Kayden had his very first scout campout a couple weekends ago. (Yes, Jeremy was supposed to post this a while ago.) Jeremy was going to the scout camp as a leader and Kayden was able to come along. He was able to help cook dinner (hamburgers), play in the fire, pitch his own tent, and go fishing. It was raining in Wenatchee all day but when we got to the place we were camping it was just overcast. It started raining around 10 pm and everybody went to bed after talking and enjoying the warmth of the fire. Kayden and his friend Ben were the first up and had to bug almost everybody else. After we were all up, the boys made breakfast (pancakes and sausage.) It was Kayden's responsibility to help Ben clean up breakfast and when they were finished, he was able to go fishing at the lake we were camped next to. Kayden absolutely loved fishing. He used plain marshmallows and had a couple fish on his line but they managed to escape. After fishing, we cleaned up camp and came home. Everybody was exhausted but we thoroughly enjoyed it.Kayden playing in the fire Saturday morning.

While the boys were gone camping. I decided I would take Brooklyn and Chandler to dinner and the Monsters vs the Wentachee Wild Hockey Game. What a super fun evening. The kids wanted to go to McDonalds. So we ate dinner then I took the kids to get some snacks for the game. We got to the game a little early so we could get a good parking spot since it was raining. We went inside and found our seats. Brooklyn had a couple friends that she went and sat with. They danced and played all night. Chanlder and I really enjoyed the game. I thought the kids would get so tired since the game goes so late but nope. They made it. Until we got in the car. They were both sound asleep before we got home.

We went to Walla Walla park the next day to watch some dogs pull weight. I'm not sure what it's called. But we almost got kicked out. Apparently you cant' call the dogs. We were calling them by their names and telling them good job etc. Ummm you can't do that in a competition. Good to know. So we left and had a picnic lunch and the kids played at the park. Chandler's Best friend Cade had his 6th B-day party at Sports Gymnastics so we went to a super fun birthday party

Much needed Family Time

The 6th Recruiting Brigade had another super fun Family Wellness Retreat. We took the kids out of school on Friday and went to Stevenson WA. We stayed at the Skamania Lodge. It was beautiful.

One of the joys of going to a hotel is the "Pool"

We had so much fun swimming. The first night we swam for about 3 1/2 hours

The second night we swam for 2 hours.

The kids had a lot of fun dunking the dads, playing Chicken, diving, Playing with water bombs

and jumping off the side of the pool.

Jeremy and Matt defiantly got a work out. Their poor necks hurt so

bad after giving everyone a turn playing Chicken.

all of this fun happen when I said, "Watch Jer and Matt are going to bump heads" and sure enough they both had water in their faces and Smack their head hit. Amanda and I were laughing so hard. It was so funny. We all enjoyed going to the outside hot tub in the rain. AWESOME!

Our next adventure, "WATERFALLS"

I love love love waterfalls. Oregon has a lot of waterfalls.

Our first waterfall was the Multnomah Falls Plummeting 620 feet from its origins on Larch Mountain, Multnomah Falls is the Second highest year-round waterfall in the nation.

I love the sound of waterfalls too. Beautiful!

We hiked to the top of Multnomah waterfall. 1.6 miles What a fun day and beautiful weather

to hike. It was around 40 degrees.

Winter Fun/Christmas 2010

I know it's been a long time and Christmas has been over for a month.

But here is our Christmas update along with some Winter Fun. Here is Jer with the first Christmas Decoration of 2010
We got a new Pre-lit tree this year. It was a little tricky
but when we figured it out it was so much easier then the tree we
have used for the last 11 years.
It comes in three sections. Here is the first.

We were able to dog sit over Thanksgiving. This is our new friend Rio
We had so much fun playing with this little pug.

After a days work...

Wenatchee has gotten a lot of snow. I swear we have gotten

more snow the month of November then we did the entire winter last

year. This particular night we got a foot and half of snow.

So naturally we all went out and had a blast. Jeremy wanted to make

a "Calvin and Hobbs" Snowman. If you look close you can see he

is electricuting himself. Jer even took dead flowers and put it in his head

so it looks like his hair is standing up.

We had a wonderful Christmas Party with the East Wenatchee Recruiting team

Another fun adventure was going to the school

for a fun night of making Gingerbread houses.
